Reply:You missed Mountain lions, aka cougar, aka Puma. They have 3 names, but are the same cat. Florida does have a subspecies called the Florida panther tho.
Cheetah's are missed too.
Ocelot
Reply:puma-american mountion lion,
Reply:Mountain lion/cougar, snow leopard, clouded leopard.
Panthers are just jaguars, leopards or cougars/mountain lions--the name applies to any of them and isn't specific to a particular species.
Technically lynx is a medium sized cat.
Reply:Depends how you define big cats. The term usually refers to Lions, Tigers, Leopards and Jaguars. These are all in the genus Panthera. More generally Snow Leopards, Clouded Leopards and Cougars are often referred to as big cats.
Panther usually refers to a black form of a Jaguar.
Other cats such as Lynx are fairly big but are not generally grouped with the 'big cats'.
