Do you like the Michigan student body?

I am an alumni of there. While the rest of Michigan's non-student/non-alumni fans might be howling, I bet the student body largely could care less. People there don't really wear Michigan apparel around, and if they do, it's usually because they're athletes or students who don't have as much money. It's a weird place, and I got the impression no one really cared about the sports from my classmates. A few of my friends liked sports, but for the most part, I pretty much watched the games but never enjoyed them like I would watching Tigers, Lions or Pistons games in Detroit, where the fans genuinely get into the action, would make conversation, argue, so on and so forth.





For that reason, I'm sort of happy Michigan lost. All of UM is soul less, right down to the student body and the mercenaries they recruit for the football team. The fans are so cocky and snotty, they don't deserve a football team they don't appreciate.

Reply:I must say, Michigan fans are taking the loss very well. I'm reading Tennessee and Notre Dame fans who are making bull**** excuses to why they lost and not accepting the fact that they got beat.





Michigan fans I'm seeing more of a "alright we lost, we weren't prepared for them, we'll try to bounce back".

Reply:I don't know who u have seen or talked to but walk down the street in Ann Arbor and you will see all kinds of Michigan apparel and it was the worst Saturday ever there, the whole city was silent with their heads down, complaining, maybe your classmates aren't into football but you don't put 109,000 in the seats every game without support from the student body. Saturdays are what everybody around here lives for and I can honestly say that last Saturday the mood was like somebody died all over, it was horrible, it was the first day I ever had where I did not want to be a Wolverine.

Reply:Have you ever been to Ann Arbor? You can't look in any direction with out seeing someone in Michigan apparel. That's just a bizarre comment. It just patently false. It was just as wrong the other 2 or 3 times you've made on this board. Michigan fans are no more cocky than the fan base of any successful sports team. Who the F do you think you are? if you don't like Michigan, cool, then don't. Don't take whatever weird issues you have out on michigan fans. We put 107 k in that stadium for every home game, we lead the nation in attendance every year. Don't question us because you couldn't make friends in college.
Reply:come to columbus and see if you still think Michigan fans are cocky class less jerks. it sounds like you have no idea what the hell you are talking about because even in Grand Rapids you see a **** load of michigan apperal. and that is on the other side of the state. michigan fans show much more class then ohio state fans. ( i have lived in both Columbus and Michigan. so don't try to tell me i am wrong.)
