Where can you hold/pet a tiger/lion cub in England?

I saw a big cat centre years ago, "think" it was in/near Staffordshire but can't find it on the net. They charged 40 quid an hour to play with the cubs.

I doubt the zoos would let you, this kind of thing is generally frowned upon by reputable zoos. London Zoo certainly doesn't do that. A couple of circuses used to offer it, including circuses that have settled down instead of moving around.

There are seen to be a number of problems with it, including disease control and the fact that the cubs have to be away from their mothers for large parts of the day. Most zoos in the UK don't want their animals to be quite that tame, either - fully grown tigers bouncing happily on top of you is not fantastic... Your best bet is someone who is having to hand-rear a cub, although again the big zoos will probably want the cub to think it's a cat instead of a person, and therefore limit human contact past a certain age.
Reply:in a zoo
Reply:Ask at you Local Authority Licensing Department. They will know which people hold Dangerous Wild Animal Licences. They may be able to help.
Reply:I think your best bet would be one of the bigger zoos such as London or Edinborough
