List of animals to work with?

Through out my life I've had several fish and 5 dogs,(3 out of the 5 have passed away from old age, illness, etc...) I've also gone to Seaworld, Long beach aquarium of the pacific the San diego wild animal park and zoo, Bronx zoo, the orange county fair and a couple farms. In short I'm an animal lover and would like to get a job training animals for movies, tv shows, etc...I enjoy being around my dogs and animals in general seem to like me as well. Below are a few animals I'd like to train if I ever get a job training animals:

Foxes, wolves,etc... (just about any wild dog)

Tigers, lions, etc...(just about any wild cat)

Baiscally animals of various types but I wouldn't mind working with fox or another wild dog since I love dogs.

Anyone have an animal they'd like to train?

List of animals to work with?
Wow! That's what I have always dreamed of doing is training

animals. I would love to work for Disney's Animal Kingdom...

I am already a nurse, and too old, so I think in my next life

I will be an animal trainer.

I love tigers, lions, jaguars

I would love to train any canine species also

I would love to train monkeys

I would love to train bears

But my favorite is the siberian tiger.

Great choices!
Reply:You can start training at any time at home!

Buy a few rats- these are easy learners, intelligent and easy to train. Teach them a few tricks- try thing like 'come here' and get them to respond to their name. Training takes time, so be patient. Also, I'd recommend a sugar glider. Possibly the most affectionate, trainable animal in the world... But masses of research must be done before even buying one.

Good luck!

EDIT: These tricks may be useless, but they will train you to be more patient and get a good idea of training animals.
Reply:Sugar Glider, Chinchilla, Flying Squirrel, Japanese tufted ear squirrel, duprasi, kinkajous check this one out for sure, fenec fox
Reply:I would enjoy training llamas and yak to be riding show animals.
Reply:Do you have experience with exotic animals and training?

You cannot just randomly decide you want to train wild animals and go for it- you need training yourself so you know how to properly train and be around exotic animals.

If not, you'll get hurt yourself.

EDIT: You still need to learn how to properly train an animal- without experience, it will be hard for you to get hired. Begin working with an obedience trainer.
