Another Lion vs Tiger Stupid questions?

Why does everybody seems to dismissed the fact that male Lions could hunt on their own? All i know is when they're adolescent they are expelled from the pride by the pride leader thus they have to be solitary or seek help from other expelled males. Sure they'll be hunting on their own to survived and when they are strong enough they will be taking over another pride. They cannot be king for sure if they haven't got experience on hunting, don't they?

Another Lion vs Tiger Stupid questions?
The male lion is not a particularly efficient hunter- that is one of the reasons that lone males so often die.

Lions, in fact, are not particularly skillful at hunting alone. Female lions tend to hunt in packs.

Basically, it's not that male lions are dismissed as hunters, it is just that in a normal lion social situation the females hunt.
Reply:Males can and do hunt on their own. The price of having the protection of the male is for females to hunt for and feed the males.

Males have more trouble hunting than females because their size makes them slower and the mane does get in the way, but they can and do hunt.

(I love the Animal Network and discovery channel)
Reply:Very true, but lions are still outweighed by tigers and in every recorded instance of a battle between them tigers have won.

Who would win, a Lion or a Tiger?

In a striaght out claw to claw, paw to paw, jaw to jaw fight, who would be most likely to win? My money is on the Tiger since, not only do they defend their family like the lions, but they also go out and hunt which gives them more experience. And they seem to have more muscle mass than the Lions.

Who would win, a Lion or a Tiger?
Tigers are a powerfully builted cat in the world, so anything other than a tiger would less powerfully built.

Tiger:

-Average of 12 ft long (3.6 m)

-Average of 39 1/2 inches tall (1 m)

-Weight average of 795 lb (360 kg)

Lion:

-Average of 7 1/2 ft long (2.3 m)

-Average of 31 1/2 inches tall (1 m)

-Weight average of 495 lb (225 kg)
Reply:Ligers are bred for their skills and magic.
Reply:A Tiger would win beyond doubt. Lions are not equiped to fight in such a match
Reply:The lion would most probably parry the tiger's assaults with his scruffy crown of facial hair, and then sting the tiger with the horned tip of his tail, and then scare him to death with his thunderous roars right in the face.

Then the tiger would be all shooked up like Elvis Presley, and would tell the lion he won't try to fight him again.
Reply:wouldn't know. never seen a lion and a tiger fight. if I ever do, I probably won't stick around long enough to find out! lol...watch discovery channel. Maybe they could help you with that answer.

Napolean Dynamite ... lol...love the sense of humor whoever put this. thanks for the laugh! :)
Reply:Two males, a tiger - probably 80% of the time; some lions could win. The gender issue only struck me as important because of the first answer. I'm not sure how big the female tiger is although I don't think it'd be small, all tigers live in solitary.
Reply:male or female?

Hey, don't laugh...it's important!
Reply:Tigers do have a slight size advantage, but live a solitary life most of the time. Lions tend to fight quite frequently (especially the males) and so may be better prepared for a fight than a tiger.

I would say that you would have to repeat the fight several times with various cats from each species to get a better idea, since neither is likely to win every single time.

Which is bigger, a tiger, or a lion?

and which is tougher, i know lions work in packs, tigers are lone, but i thought lions were bigger and tougher. please correct me if im wrong. thanx.

Which is bigger, a tiger, or a lion?
The Tigers are bigger and stronger.

Once there were Lions in the whole Asia. The Tigers have killed and driven the lions away from Asia.

Asiatic lions are protected from tigers in the Gir Sanctuary in India, the only place in the entire Asia.

A Lion is bold and elegant. But a tiger is more alert, cunning and a better hunter.

In fact about 20 Lions were reintroduced in North India 50 years back. But some were killed by tigers and others died later.
Reply:You Absolutely wrong. Report It

Reply:People always tend to lean towards lions but beause they live in prides, I don't think that would make them as tough because when its prey is being killed they all hunt it down to kill it. Where as a tiger does not use that method as often as a lion does. Tigers generally kill alone. Meaning a full grow tiger may not need as much help as a grown lion does. So, with that being said as you already know Tigers Work Alone. Are you yourself stronger working alone? or are you weaker with the help of a few friends. I'll let you answer that question. A tigers jaw is very much like that of a lions jaw. The teeth are also very similar. The lions head seems to be larger then a tigers, but that has no effect on it. Don't forget the camoflauge provided by a tigers stripes, this gives them an advantage that the lion doesn't have. In my opinion tigers and lions both are very large cats. The tiger being just a tad larger in size. They are both kings of there own jungles. The tigers in India, and Siberia and the lions in Africa all have important characteristics to make their needs for food easiar. I hope I never come face to face with either. I always thought that tigers were more powerful. But you can't label something just because of your own ignorance you have to stud each animal before you can say anything at all.
Reply:The tiger is the biggest of all cats. he weighs much more than the lion and one on one I would say the tiger will demolish the lion. Yes he is a loner, but with his strength he is well capable of catching his prey alone. In the lion camp the females do the hunting in packs. The male lion is too "lazy", he lets the females do all the work and then of course he takes the best meat!! ha-ha - sounds funny but is in fact true that the females hunt and the male gets first choice togetehr with the females and then the babies. The male doe snot really tolerate the babies to eagerly. he will also kill another females pubs without blinking because then she comes into season and he can mate again. Thei mating ritual of course lasts for up to three days in which time it is not a good idea for any lion to come near the male!!!! But to your asnwer, the tiger is stronger and bigger than the male!! The tiher by the way is only cat that will willy-nilly attack a human. The other cats will only attack when feeling threatened or are very hungry or you are near their babies. Not the tiger, anything is enemy to him.
Reply:a tiger is superior in every way it is bigger, faster , and works alone
Reply:Siberian tigers are the biggest cats in the world.
Reply:lions are bigger by muscle power lions are better by pace stamina and tearing strength Tigers rule. White tigers are bigger than lions in length and the Indian bengal tiger is very strong against lions. So i bet the Tigers won
Reply:lions
Reply:TIGER.
Reply:a tiger would kill a lion any day.
Reply:A tiger is actually the largest of all the big cats. As for toughness, that's a hard thing to measure. Lions are very tough because the pride works together to bring down large prey. Tigers tend to hunt smaller prey since they do hunt alone. It's hard to pin one against the other because their toughness is used in different ways. But as far as size, the tiger wins.
Reply:the siberian tiger or amur tiger as it is now known is the largest of the big cats. lions are smaller and hunt in prides. when it comes to toughness i'd go for the tiger as they are known to kill crocs out of the water but to us they are both equally dangerous whether alone or in a pride.
Reply:Lets talk Lions fighting Tigers one on one - forget social behaviour of a group for a sec.

Lions have mane and are taller - 4 feet. Tiger is 3 feet tall and has no mane. This is a key difference - Lions fore quarters are bigger and stronger and more adapted to fighting. Tigers hind legs are stronger and is more adapted to hunting. They have more leaping power. Tigers have 4 inch canines and Lions 3-3 1/2. This doesn't make a big difference in a fight unless able to get a throat bite, which the lion is more experienced in. This makes a difference only with pray. Their claw sizes are the same.

Lions have much more skills acquired for fighting. Tigers have more skills acquired for hunting. Lions are much more aggressive and willing to fight while tigers can be aggressive but are not as willing to fight. Tigers are bigger and heaviour on an average by 70 pounds if you compare largest of cats. African Lions and Bengal tigers weigh almost the same. Size could make a difference if its all muscle which is not always the case. Tigers have thicker hide which could contribute for weight. With the African heat, a lion has little fat in its body.

Facts aside, lets sit down for the real fight:

Female lioness vs Female tiger:

I think generally a female lioness is taller but smaller than a tigeress. Tigeress is gonna be apprehensive about the lionesses presense but not the lioness. In my opinion, lack of mane on the lioness and brute force of the tigress will give an edge to the tigress.

Prolonged fight can result in death but is highly unlikely. Both are likely to respect each other.

Male Lion vs Male Tiger:

Lion with stronger forequarters is taller and slightly smaller if its a Siberian tiger else almost the same and would be bigger if its any other kinda tiger. Tiger with its stronger hind legs, has instinct to stand up on its hind legs and unleash paw swipes. But the key in this fight is aggression. Male lion is far superior with fighting skills and is far more aggressive. Lion has stronger paw swipe but cannot stand as tall as a tiger. Sheer brute force from the Lion will give him the advantage in this fight.

In this fight, its unlikely that the fight would stop like with the females, and most likely will result in tigers death.

Having said all this, this fight would be between a real male African lion in its prime(4-5 year old) defending its kingdom and a bengal tiger in its prime of the similar age. Also, mind that there can be exceptions.

There are videos on the internet that are hugely biased and one has to remember that these are not real jungle cats. These are brought up in the zoo and lack many skills we talked above and would most likely not survive in the wild.
Reply:Though the african lion is pretty huge and dwarfs the indian and sumatran tigers, the Siberian tiger is bigger than the lion. It is, in fact

the largest big cat in the world. The Indian Tigers are about the same size as the Lions.

But even in India the tigers are bigger as you go North,The Royal Bengal tiger is bigger than those in the South.

The Siberian Tiger is the biggest of them all.

According to recent study, scientists say that lions have the strongest forelegs of the big cats, and they have a knack to being more ferocious. Even though tigers are heavier and longer, it's ferocity that determines a winner. Scientists say that Siberian tigers may lack that in comparison to a lion. However, the lion's 'built for fighting' physique has turned him into a poor predator.

The tiger has stronger hind legs, therefore making him faster and more agile. That would make a tiger more of a predator than a fighter.

Lions have all the equipment of a fighter huge forelegs, the mane, and the stocky body. Because of the mane the male lion is a poor predator. He however has a fierce desire to defend his territory. They have been known to kill or drive off rhinos.
Reply:Lion 1.4 - 2 m Tiger 1.8 - 2.8 m

Tail 67-100 cm Tail 91 cm.

The tiger has a massive muscular body, the Siberian tiger is the largest cat of all.

Reply:as all i can say is lions are big but it doesnt mean it is tougher the turth is tigers are more tougher than lions because they have more bigger instink than lions....
Reply:Sorry, you are wrong, Tigers are the biggest of the wild cats. Don't know who would win in a fight though, guess it would depend on which lion was fighting which tiger, as they are pretty evenly matched. I do believe though, that tigers are stronger, but only slightly.

Why is it that every team in Detroit besides the Lions are so great?

...

Why is it that every team in Detroit besides the Lions are so great?
well it starts with a good gm which the lions lack. they lack a reason to play well. they don't have any good players besides their kicker. they also can't play as a team to win any games. their coach is too soft on them. the pistons play hard in the regular season and go pretty far in the playoffs. they have a good coach who is not too soft on them. the wings are near the end of being on top in the west. they have a good owner who spends money on star players. they do well in the regular season but have fallen in the last couple years in the early part of the playoffs. the tigers got a coach who will push them to play better. i won't say they are going to the world series or win the wild card but they improved and i think it's wonderful. as far as the shock they are pretty good. i am from the detroit area and love almost all of these teams but the lions. i am not a fan of football but root for them when i can.
Reply:I dunno. Im not a sports person.
Reply:Tigers aren't great. It's the individual achievments of teams the city they play for has nothing to do with it.
Reply:Its because detroit has a huge population base. It not only has michigan, it has a lot of nieboring states that love there teams and are willing to pay huge taxes. People up north, love there sport. I have to tell you though i really don't like there teams.

If god is so nice.......?

why would a god create animals that can kill you, eat you, maim you, hurt you, disfigure you........Like lions, tiger, rattle snakes, sharks, bears, even bees (for some people)....yes, humans may be the most sophisticated species, but you dump a human into the jungle with no possesions (like back when "god" created the world 4000 years ago..lol) we wouldnt stand a chance!!!

hmm...if you prayed not to be eaten, would the starving pride of loinesses turn away?

sounds like a cruel god to me, why would you serve a thing like that...

Thoughts?

If god is so nice.......?
Coz the bible tells these freaks that it was ok back then.
Reply:Animals aren't even the worst of it. Christians believe in a god who created the microbes which cause the Black Death, anthrax, yellow fever, polio, small pox, AIDS, and a host of other diseases. He also created cancer, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, lymphoma, and a host of other ways for the human body to break down.

The Darwinian explanation of "nature red in tooth and claw" makes sense. Creationists just have to fall back on "god's mysterious ways" - ways which if a human exhibited them would be considered psychopathic.
Reply:These animals weren't wild before sin entered the world through Adam!!
Reply:They will say that before Adam and Eve ate the apple, all animals were tame.

But they forget that God created the situation that made eve eat the apple in the first place.
Reply:Death and destruction are products of sin. Note: the animals didn't attack Adam or Eve, things didn't die until they sinned.

By the way have you every read the story of Daniel and his night in the lions den? There were a bunch of hungry lions in there, and God shut their mouths so he spent a night with them and they didn't even scratch him. Through this Gods power and majesty was revealed and the king declared Daniel's God to be the true and the living God.

God is love! And is faithful to take care of His children.

God Bless!
Reply:Because he is not "nice" nor "cruel." Such things are limited human perceptions and an omnipotent God can never fit that. These views are for those without real faith in a higher power- faith in an unlimited God engenders a humility before creation and acceptance for what they cannot understand.
Reply:Let's go back, say the 4,000 years you indicated--which by the way is INACCURATE, when God created the animals and man.

Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden..ALONE with ALL those animals. Did they get eaten? NO

All things were PERFECT. God created things PERFECT, man, beast, plants etc...

It was MAN that caused disharmony between animals and man.

Scriptures indicate that a time is coming when the lamb will lay beside the lion, indicating that once again peace will be brought back between animals and men.

Reply:Who in the world thinks that God created all this mess? It's like the misinformed leading the maladjusted.

Evolution, (Which God did or did not create directly or indirectly) caused all these animals to have these protective capabilities simply to preserve their own competitive survival. It has nothing to do with how Humans see them or how they might do harm to people.

I have prayed all my life to not be eaten. So far so good.

I think God is real, but God is just not what most people think God is.

One more thing - where does it say that God is nice???
Reply:heard of Daniel in the lions den?
Reply:Dump a few humans into the wilderness with no possessions and they stand a pretty good chance, especially if they stick together and sharpen up some spears.

We survived as the hominid line for several million years, obviously we have something working in our favor.

If you are looking for mean things done by God, predators are peanuts. He flooded the whole flippin world and killed every person, every infant, every pregnant mother, all but one family. We can all be very thankful that God is nothing but a fictional character. Can you imagine sharing a universe with a monster like that? Our first priority would have to be figuring out a way to kill it.

Rev Einstein and others - if all of creation lived in harmony and there was no death at one time, then all the carnivores would have been starving. They can all be thankful that we ate that fruit and thus saved them from extinction.
Reply:Shortly,

God created earth, and everything in it, for man, and gave it to them to rule over. (See Genesis 1:26)

God created earth and everything was very good. (See Genesis 1:31a)

Adam and Eve sins against God - God dwells no more among them. Man gave their possession, the earth and everything in it, over to Satan.

(When Satan tempts Jesus) Luke 4:5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours."

I understand when people look at all the evil and detestable things happening in this world, and think "How can God be good?". But the thing is, all these horrible things are not from him, and he was not the one who brought them in here! Man did, and man still do to this day! What we see are the consequences of sin and disobeying God and his instructions. Man gave this world over to Satan, and he is the one ruling it (but not forever!).

1 John 5:19-20a We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true.

So, to answer your question, the animals went crazy after the fall of man. They were not meant to. But God will restore all things, all creation, in a way that will also affect animal behavior. Those being in the Kingdom of God that day will see this:

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. Infants will play near the hole of the cobra; young children will put their hands into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

Isaiah 11:6-9
Reply:The ancient man had no tools, yet he was able to have dominion over these animals. Lot of these tools, including a bow and arrow, wooden sticks are freely available in nature.

The truth about sharks...?

I think all that stuff about sharks being misunderstood is a lot of bull. First off, there are MANY animals that will attack humans and some will even go so far as to kill them. Think of pirahnas, lion, tigers and bears. Sharks have a mouth meant to bite, seriously i think its funny that peopl make them sound like vegetarians. does anybody else agree?

The truth about sharks...?
I agree with you in that wild animals can be dangerous even though attacks on humans are rare and even then are often the result of them failing to take proper precautions and keeping their distance when in the animals' habitat. Even so, the most dangerous animal to humans is other humans especially when behind the wheel of a car. In comparison, fatalities from wild animals are neglible.
Reply:The thing is, sharks like many other animals, are territorial and have a bad case of mistaken identity. If there is a human, or any other thing than a shark invading a sharks territory, then someone/something is likely to be hurt. They are sharks, they were meant by nature to hunt, and kill, but not necessarily always eat whatever they kill. There are also different kinds of sharks, which include some that will stay away from humans, and others are bold enough to attack whatever they see fit.
Reply:i think sharks just mistake us for their prey

they rarely attack more than once, and actually eat humans

Whats a GOOD paying job that involves training and helping all kinds of animals?

able to play with all kinds of animals. Lions, tiger, dogs , cats. All of them . being able to help feed them and train them.

and being able to make a good living

Whats a GOOD paying job that involves training and helping all kinds of animals?
The only job that pays fairly well with exotics is a Veterinarian. Zoo jobs tend to be fairly low-paying, as there are relatively few positions and a lot of people that want them, they don't need to offer high wages to recruit and retain people. Most jobs with animals do not pay well, most people who work with animals do so because they love their work, not because they make a lot of money. Many veterinarians even make a suprisingly low amount of money.
Reply:I would suggest vet tech. That is what I am doing now. It is less school than a veterinarian for those who don't love school very much! I am in a 4 year program, at the end of which I will be a fully licensed vet tech. With that license, you can work in a private practice, shelter, zoo, or science research. Zoo tech might be a good job if you are interested in working with exotics. the starting salary after college for a vet tech is $40,000-$60,000. It is a job in high demand right now, and very rewarding!
Reply:Vets are good. You can also work at a zoo!

Where can I find a Neat sounding Native American word list (With as many words as possible), in english text?
This is the Ojibwe/Chippewa Language. This is my lanugage. It's the world's most difficult language (Guinness Book of Records) To get consistent spelling, I used the Freelang Ojibwe dictionary.

Native American languages were oral languages. Therefore spelling systems were devised for many. This one uses the Fiero Double-Vowel System.

a = uh, aa = ah, e = eh, i = ih, ii = ee, o = oh, oo = ooh

Single-Quote (') character is used to represent glottal stops. (accent the sound following the (')

Native American languages have many dialects. Many use one-word sentence. Words are joined to describe ideas. The more information the longer the word/sentence. If many dialects were listed I choose the shorter word.

English words do not carry the same meaning as Native American words (which are discriptive).

• Freelang dictionaies (many world languages)

You could use the dictionaries to find words for your story.

Would it be possible to interbreed a house cat with a large cat such as a lion or tiger? (see below)?

Yes, I know it wouldn't be likely to actually have them mate due to size and the fact that the big cats would eat the domestics but, in theory, could they be breed to produce, say, a small lion or tiger? Would their genes permit this? Thanks.

Would it be possible to interbreed a house cat with a large cat such as a lion or tiger? (see below)?
I don't believe this is possible. If I remember correctly from my undergraduate education, the big cats (Lions, Tigers, Leapards, etc.) are actually more closly related to domistaced dogs than domesticated cats. Of course we know that cats and dogs can't mate, so I'm sure the big cats couldnt' mate with their smaller cousins.
Reply:No, the domestic cat differs too much from lions and tigers. However, lions and tigers HAVE been interbreeded, and the domestic cat has been interbreeded with many wild cat species, such as the bengal cat, lynx, bobcat, and the European wild cat.
Reply:That would depend on the DNA of the animals to be bred. To form a sperm or unfirtilized egg, the male and female donate one half of their DNA strands. A fertilized egg combines the two DNA strands to form a complete blueprint for a new offspring.

All true dogs (let's exclude hot dogs etc. %26lt;G%26gt;) are decended from the wolf and can theoreticall interbreed with all other dogs. Frogs and dogs can not interbreed because they have different numbers of genes and their DNA halves will not match.

The question you ask can only be answered based on the genes and DNA of large and small cats. Good luck.
Reply:you know, there's only one true way to find out...

How many games will the Lions win in 2007?

We added one of the most promising wide receivers since Jerry Rice (Calvin Johnson), and Jon Kitna will probably throw for a ton of yards. If our defense improves, we might win 4 games this year...

Yeah, I'm not going to be optimistic until Millen is 86'd. But what do you all think?

Go Tigers! Go Wings! Go Pistons!

How many games will the Lions win in 2007?
4 games might be pushing it. I'll go for 3, since they'll pull yet another "miss the PAT at the end of the game which would've been a win" thing.

Go Rockies, Go Broncos, Go AVALANCHE, Go Nuggets!
Reply:4 - rookie receivers rarely make a huge impact, and even if you have the best receiving corp in the league, you have no QB. Kitna is not the answer.
Reply:I'd say between 5-7 this year. Yes they have a bunch of WRs now. They have a good RB in Tatem Bell, and a decent QB in Kitna. He will throw for a lot ofd yards, but thats standard in Mike Martz's offense. Lets not forget he did heave 22 INTs and was sacked 60+ times. No offense but the defense stinks with Bly gone now. Ernie Sims is a great, rising LB, but aside from him, they really have no other playmakers, and why they signed Cory Redding, whos overrated at best, to such a big contract is beyond me. Because they play in the NFC they'll have a chance to break past 5-11 with their offense, but until Millen is gone and the defense finds some stars, getting to .500 will be like the Superbowl for them.

Can anyone tell me why house cats have a diamond shaped iris?

I asked this before but my subconcious will not allow the answers I received. I was told cats iris are shaped like this because they hunt at night. However, large cats do not display this. They have a round shaped iris--lion/tiger/leopard/ etc...I also have noted a large amount of other nocturnal creatures who do not share this physical trait. The next creatures I have thought of would be the lizard family as they have this diamond shape of an iris. But lizards are day creatures because they are cold blooded and require day light to aid their metabolism.

So then where does this biological difference originate. If house cats and lions are related where on the tree of life did this difference come from.

Can anyone tell me why house cats have a diamond shaped iris?
House cats have wide round iris which, when narrowing, become oval. That's a way to focus which can be found in other wild cats (the small felines, not the big ones like lions and tigers) except for the Manul cat. Cats are nocturnal hunters mostly, narrowing their iris to a slit is a way to better protect their light sensitive eyes.

Goats have a horizontal rectangular iris all the time.

Humans become just smaller round balls.
Reply:The iris changes shape depending on the light conditions. In low light and at night it creates a wide open round pupil to allow as much light in as possible. My guess is that during the day most cats are sleepers and the large pupil is not needed, so they have evolved an eye that minimizes the capture of light by creating slit like or thin diamond shaped pupils, but which will react to low light conditions at night and prime the animal for nocturnal hunting.
Reply:Although a round pupil allows an optical system to produce somewhat better image quality, irises that closes to a slit like those of housecats and horses can be controlled by a lot simpler system of muscles and ligaments.
Reply:Sorry Homy1canoby,i realy dont know.I haven't even noticed that cats have a dimond shaped iris.

~HELP!~buying detroit lions tickets from craigslist in grand rapids!!! do you think its safe???????

he has them up for like 40$ together.... i offered him 30$ and he accepted-he's not going because he's going to the Tigers game that same day and is just letting the tickets go cheap i guess-.! but, im wondering if theres a chance that they can be fake/counterfit tickets??? and is there a way to tell. is there any serial numbers on there that i can have ticketmaster or something check up on?

cuz im already introuble for recieving counterfit money and didn't kno .

and im not letting something like that happening again cuz im already introuble.....

(thanks)

I just don't want to be responsible for fake tickets.

Is it trustworthy????

~HELP!~buying detroit lions tickets from craigslist in grand rapids!!! do you think its safe???????
I know this doesn't answer your question because I've never used Craig's List, but I have bought many tickets on eBay. I don't know Craig's list security policy and whatnot but eBay's is pretty decent. eBay offers protection on something like $500 in you're duped and then if use PayPal to purchase the tix, PayPal offers another $1000 in security. Also, when you're buying tix on eBay, the user's ratings are right there for you to check out(a high number of feedbacks and a high percentage of good feedback is obviously good). Once again, I don't know if C'sL has anything like this. Also on eBay if someone doesn't allow payment through PayPal don't buy.

So, my advice is to go to eBay, the prices will be similar and if they're not then the guy selling the tickets on Craig's List is a fraud.
Reply:I wouldnt chance it
Reply:No. But then again, neither are the Lions. You will never get your moneys worth with them either.
Reply:you could pay for the tickets with a money order (make sure you keep your copy) and if they are fake,,youd be able to track him with the number of the money order. This site below should help you out..

Aren't tigers such gorgeous animals?! Wouldn't it be so awesome to be able to pet and cuddle one?

Yeah....I'm bored. lol

But, gosh ....they really are exotic and beautiful! So, are lions.....actually, most of the large cats are.

Thanks for your answers....:)

Aren't tigers such gorgeous animals?! Wouldn't it be so awesome to be able to pet and cuddle one?
yeah, right!!! just try to pet me!!
Reply:I've wanted a wild cat since I was a kid. Now as an adult I have the means to gain one, but don't want to harm one, have it illegal, etc.

Here is what I have came up with. Guy cross breads Margay's (wild cat) with a pure bread domestic cat, then recross breads it again. You end up with a cat the size of the wild cat, the markings of the wild cat, but the attitude and all of a house cat. The one I want is a " Safari ", its a Margay and Bengal house cat mix....such beautiful cats.

Reply:Yeah they are cute and cuddable when they are young kittens, but when they are bigger they are great looking cats with a bigger bite.
Reply:Well, they are awesome, and not just because they're the mascot of AUBURN UNIVERSITY. But that is one of the best reasons.
Reply:I have always loved cats - parents got a wild kitten when I was a baby. We used to pounce on each other. We had a picture of me as a baby cryingwith scratches all over my body, my parents said immdeiately after the picture I crawled back to Gatito and pounced on him.

My parents said that if I saw a tiger, I would go and hug it and it would eat me and I would die happy.

Now that I'm an adult, I'll just cuddle with a man who's a tiger in bed.

Much safer.

Reply:It's my dream to have a pet otter, they rox. But, while you can't have a tiger, there is a cat that they are breeding that looks like a tiger. They are currently very expensive, but I have seen pictures and they look really cool. They are called Toygers, and they are very cute. They currently retail from $800-$4000. Check out the link for an article and a picture.
Reply:I was at a flea market last weekend, and this guy had 2 as

pets. He kept them in a 850 sq ft. cage in his back yard.

He takes them to flea markets so people can have their picture taken with the large cats. He said the money he makes on the photos helps with the food bill of the cats.

He said they eat 650 lbs of meat per month.
Reply:you can try that at least once. Don't guarantee a second try.

Did anyone think that the Detroit Tigers would be the best team in baseball this year?

I ask since there is no optimism towards my Lions and my previous question, not to mention the fact that I feel that the Lions DO have a chance at the Super Bowl this year....:o)

Did anyone think that the Detroit Tigers would be the best team in baseball this year?
Are you kidding? Anyone who says they thought the Tigers would be the best team in baseball this year before the season started is not telling you the truth. But of course, right now the Tigers are smokin' and look like a tough out in the playoffs. The Lions may well be better in 2006. I feel the Bears are probably the best team in the NFC North but they are certainly no offensive powerhouse. Good luck to the Lions!!
Reply:I didn't but consider this. In the city of Detroit, all 4 major sports teams have got a new coach (Babcock, Leyland, Marinelli, Saunders) and as of now, 3 have/had the best record in their respective sport in the regulart season. The other team is the Lions. They could do good this year.
Reply:Heavens no! They're perennial losers. I have to agree, it would be cool to see the Lions actually do something this year. Go Twins and Chargers, however!
Reply:I did, I thought they would have done it last year- Hometown boy right here.
Reply:Why is this question even in the football section?

Will the lions win more this year?

i always thought they were the biggest joke in detroit. just curious to see if they can win like the tigers are now. i think they have been losers long enough.

Will the lions win more this year?
ONLY if theyre fed enough Christians
Reply:Yes.. The Lions will win more this year than they did last year(easy to do, really). I stuck with joey harrington a long time, but let's face it. He was horrible. Lions greatly improved their defense in the draft, and their head coaching choice. Marinelli is going to turn it around.

Martz was an excellent hire too. He will make that offense one of the best in the league within 3 years.

So yes, they will win maybe 6 games this year.. no playoffs until next year though.
Reply:They look like a 4-12 team to me. Go Vikings!
Reply:not likely they have no talent at all~ the eagles are the best and can beat the lions faster than their QB can throw the ball
Reply:tigers have players lions gots nuthing no way
Reply:da BEARS!
Reply:Yes, they have really good coaches. They will probably be in contention in that division.
Reply:I don't think so; last year was their highlight of the decade.
Reply:Not this year. They have lots of holes to fill in on that team. Chicago looks like they will run away that division. The offense should be much better than the past couple of years because they have a decent QB and a new offensive minded Coaching staff, Defense sucks but give it a few years.

Hotel that has tiger cubs?

Years ago I remember seeing a tv program about a hotel in USA where you can spend the night with a big cat in your room. I can't recall if it was a lion, tiger, or puma.

Anyone out there know about this place?

Hotel that has tiger cubs?
I did an extensive search at Google because your question intrigued me, but found nothing....sorry.

best of luck to you!

Pls give the real exact answer on this.which one will win if lion and tiger fight one on one against ea other?

male tiger vs male lion

Pls give the real exact answer on this.which one will win if lion and tiger fight one on one against ea other?
Tigers are bigger. That's the simple answer.
Reply:You cant answer these lame questions. First off, a human would have to arrange a "fight" between the two species. They don't share habitat nor anything. So, a fight would never occur. You don't know the sizes of each.

It is just a lame childish question. It has been asked repeatedly. Search Questions, you'll find plenty of answers. Next time, try to think of an more original question.
Reply:It may be a draw.

A tiger would easily win if the lion didnt have a mane.

Its bigger so I dont tthink a lion could overpower it.
Reply:It is the lion that wins. Watch National Geographic. Due to the Mane on the Lions back, the tiger cannot go for the lions jugular. where as the lion can finish off the tiger by breaking its neck. thats the reason the Lion is called the king of the jungle.

If you're the Detroit Lions, how do you feel right now?

Other than being 0-5, every other team in this city has playoff potential- and even Championship potential. The Wings, Pistons, and Tigers went to the playoffs this year; the Tigers are still rolling too. How does this sorry excuse for a team feel?

If you're the Detroit Lions, how do you feel right now?
I bet they're thinking about which WR to pick in the first round of the draft.
Reply:i bet they feel about as good (if not better/worsE) than anny raiders fans out there

2. We need to Fire Matt Millen
Reply:good and bad...they should feel good because they will probably get one of the top 5 picks in the draft next year...bad because they might not win a game till November when they play the 49'ers or Miami
Reply:Like taking a dump on Kelli's face
Reply:I would root for the Detroit Tigers.
Reply:Not good.
Reply:I'd feel like no different than I have for the last nine years.
Reply:They feel great that they can make millions of dollars and don't even have to try and win.
Reply:they shouldnt have such shitty players
Reply:I'd feel like a bit**! The bit** of Detroit. Everyone else is a champ or a potential champ. The Lions are chumps! They are not even chimps cause they don't even look as organized as a bunch of monkeys fuc*in a football out there. They suck! They need a whole new team about as much as the Raiders. At least Detroit has pride in the other teams so it's not so bad as the Raiders, but they are still a sorry sight to see!
Reply:Like somebody s**t in my soup.

Should lions be called the kings of the jungle?

They don't even live in jungles! I bet the tigers are REALLY pissed about this.

Should lions be called the kings of the jungle?
I'd say the tigers aren't happy- and the jaguars get no love at all. Strictly speaking, lions are kings of the savannah and tall grassy plains.

Unfortunately, when the phrase was coined in a different era by western authors, during a time when very few people other than zoologists/naturalists (who knew better) actually ever visited Africa, and the public misconception was that the whole continent was mostly untamed jungle.
Reply:Good point. Never really thought about it 'til now!
Reply:It's only a romantic denomination. Nothing to do with the real thing. Tigers don't care, they are really elusive and don't look for fame at all.
Reply:I would leave em to it, unless you are willing to go tell them they aren't.
Reply:A lion, feeling full of himself, left his den and walked out into the jungle. He grabs a poor zebra by the throat and asks, who's the meanest SOB in the jungle? The terrified zebra says, why you are Mr. lion, everyone knows that. You're damn right says the lion and struts off.Moments later he corners a monkey, slaps it around and asks, who's the king of this jungle? The monkey readily agrees, why you are Mr.lion, everyone knows that.Damn straight says the lion and again struts away.Just on down the trail the lion sees a bull elephant, runs right up in his face, eyeball to eyeball and says, who's the meanest SOB in the jungle? The elephant grabs the lion around the neck with its trunk, slams him into the ground, stomps all over him and then slings him into a tree. The lion slides down the tree, looks at the elephant and says,You don't have to get mad, just because you don't know the answer!
Reply:I thought they lived on the plains.

If you want to consider tigers' territory - Asia, I think Asian or indian elephants are kings there.

The elephant is the finest animal in Asia
Reply:A pride of lions is truly a force to be reckoned with. 9 females and 3 males is one common breakdown. The males job is to fight rival prides of lions whose territory overlaps theirs, like gang warfare, and to kill hyenas. The males generally do not hunt and sleep 20 hours a day, smell the females killed something, and muscle their way in to eat. Only noblemen and royalty didn't work hard to get their own meals many centuries ago, and lions. They also have a large mane which some early biologists said looked sort of like a crown a king would wear.
Reply:No for different reasons. 1. They don't live in the jungle. 2. The tiger is bigger. 3. The jaguar is stronger. 3. The cheetah is faster.
Reply:lion is said to be the king of jungle because of its looks. maybe in the past, they used to dominate the jungle. the name won't come so easily. lions are always used as symbolism for courage, bravery and also its hunting techniques. tigers are to the side.

In a fight to the death between a bear (grizzly) and a tiger who would win? What is the toughest predator?

Also, between a lion/tiger, tiger/polar bear, lion/polar bear tiger polar bear, lobster/raccoon. wolverine/black bear?

please my future in broadcasting for fox depends on this...jk

In a fight to the death between a bear (grizzly) and a tiger who would win? What is the toughest predator?
As for tiger/bear, it depends entirely on the kind of bear, but some tigers do regularly prey on smaller female brown bears in Siberia. Fights with larger male brown bears (of which the grizzly is a subspecies) are too rare for conclusive evidence, however. Lions historically have had the edge fighting tigers, mostly due to their mane protecting them from the tiger's primary attack technique (going for the throat). The "toughest" predator, in the sense of best pure fighter is probably the grizzly bear, though I would rate the tiger as the "best hunter."

Follow the link for a much more thorough discussion.

As for bear/wolverine, one site I saw listed bears as one of the wolverine's natural predators, but on the other hand wolverines are capable of killing caribou and even moose, so they aren't exactly slouches. Still, I think a black bear would have the edge due to size.
Reply:What about a fight between a 1,960 pound polar bear, 11 feet and 11 inches tall, shot in 1960, versus a 28.3 foot 4,400 pound saltwater crocodile at the water's edge but the polar bear sees the crocodile and the crocodile sees the bear. The wikipedia under polar bear has the weight and height of the polar bear. That would be the battle of all battles. Maybe they would both be killed. A draw.
Reply:Look, instead of pairing up unlikely candidates and having them fight like gladiators for the pleasure of a sick humanity, it would be better if you portray how cruelly Man has treated these animals.

Why has no one considered this? The answer could very well be the most important thing science could tell us this generation.

Won't someone please think of the hummingbirds?
Reply:Chuck Norris would win
Reply:A Bear would win against a Tiger because it is larger and more ferocious

A Lion versus a Tiger would be a pretty even match

A POlar Bear would smash a Tiger, Polar Bears re the biggest and most feocious of all bears, they will even, unlike any other bear, attack Humans on sight.

Again a Polar Bear would beat a Lion

A Lobster and Raccoo can't really fight each other but the Raccoon would probably win

A Balck Bear would win because it is much bigger than a wolf/ wolverine, wolves hunt in packs and are weak on their own..
Reply:for the tiger lion a tiger would win cause there stronger but any cat against a mountain lion the mountain lion would win.
Reply:a tiger and the most dangerous animal is a tazmanian devil.

Reply:A bear would win because the bear is a much larger animal and would kill the tiger.

This is absolute rubbish and someone who claims to be a zoology graduate should know better.

Many species such as horses and Przwalski horses or cattle and bison are perfectly capable of interbreeding AND producing fertile young despite having different chromosome numbers.

In the real world chromosome number make no difference whatsoever. The only factor that predicts compatibility is tiime since divergence.

Reply:practically this is impossible but there are few examples.

it is impossible to interbreed those species which are not having same chromosome number.

but still mule is a wonder because it is interbreed is with horse and donkey though their chromosome number is different.

one more example is of liger they are interbreed of tiger and lion.

this is fact. i m not joking. i m a zoology graduate.

Taming lion, anyone?

can i get the technique on how to tame a lion, tiger or anything at the circus?

any suggestions?

Taming lion, anyone?
Unless you've been working with animals for awhile I wouldn't suggest 'taming' a lion. For one you can't really tame one, you can just get one to act kindly towards you lol. I highly suggest reading up on lions and tigers, getting to know the animals actual habitat and what it likes and the like can be a great help. Then before you go off to tame any animal, lion, tiger, giraffe, whatever, you should get to know him/her.
Reply:They get pretty tame if you feed them a couple of christians...

What is the purpose of cross breeding same species? (ex. male lion+female tiger=liger)?

what is the purpose of cross breeding same species? (ex. male lion+female tiger=liger)

What is the purpose of cross breeding same species? (ex. male lion+female tiger=liger)?
There are many animals that will try and mate with anything that looks even vaguely acceptable. I used to know a river tour guide who had more experiences with dolphins molesting turtles than he liked to recount.

Tiger-lion crossbreeds have been occasionally seen in the wild from time to time, and have reportedly been produced in zoos by accident.

Of course, some creatures are intentionally crossbred by humans. The purpose is usually to try and get a bunch of desirable traits into one super-creature. Of course, what is a 'desirable trait' is a matter of opinion. That's why we have a hundred different breeds of dog - they're all related to the wolf originally, but now many couldn't breed with one if they wanted to.

Sometimes it is sterility such creatures typically have that we're after, too... having your work animal become pregnant not only gets less work from it but may kill it as well. Triticale is a good example grain that was produced by crossing two different species specifically so it couldn't be pollinated by anything in the wild.
Reply:A liger? That's pretty much my favorite animal.
Reply:Well, lions and tigers are technically two different species (lion=Panthera leo; tiger=Panthera tigris). It seems to me that crossbreeding between species is simply human curiosity. We just want to see what will happen. Or, in the case of crossbreeding a horse with a donkey to get a mule, we do it to create a stronger more usable animal.

If Chinese people r so wise then why don't they stop using tiger products & other rare animal products ?

I have read in history that chinese peole r very wise %26amp; intelligent. They were very advanced with their inventions. But when it comes to medicine the chinese people use a lot of animals products. Some of the animals products they use require the death of Tigers, Lions, Rhinoceroes, Elephants etc.

They want tiger bones for curing impotence other ailments. Similarily they want other rare %26amp; endangered animals for makin all sorts of medicine.

China has developed so much so why r they Hell Bent upon on Killing Rare %26amp; Endangered Animals for Medicines.

If Chinese people r so wise then why don't they stop using tiger products %26amp; other rare animal products ?
Many Pacific Rim cultures have strong threads going back centuries to a vast array of beliefs, practices and traditions.

A number of these are recognized has having solid scientific and mathematical grounds -- like navigation, chemistry and architecture. Pacific Rim societies were the first to use the compass, create gunpowder and use a keystone in the building of arches.

Not all of these developments had sound merit -- most of the medicinal practices are based on superstition and false beliefs. Sadly, many endangered species are suffering because of these misguided medical concepts. Tigers, turtles and whales to name a few.

China, Japan and Korea are all facing mounting pressure from numerous western countries to clean up their acts when it comes to the illegal selling of endangered animal parts. The good news is the efforts to stop these actions are finally notching up some hard fought victories (i.e., a number of seafood markets in China now are banned from selling any turtle related products).

The best thing you can do to help bring an end to these practices is make your voice heard. Boycott products from these countries, sign petitions, join a demonstration outside an embassy or consulate, and VOTE!!!
Reply:You're lumping everybody together. Just because someone's Chinese doesn't mean they are wise or unwise. They're like everybody else.

Culture often takes prescedence over many other things anyway. Look at the US: we're more concerned about money and the economy, we're willing to make the earth unihabitable to save a few bucks.
Reply:because every culture is different!

its not that they are wise or unwise, they're just like

everyone else. thats just their way of life, and its been

around for ages....
Reply:It's often difficult to understand cultures other than your own.

The Chinese have long traditions in this area. Frankly they're less harmful when following their traditions than when they seem to be bent on repeating every mistake the West has made in their industrial development.
Reply:Why can't you be wise enough to worry about yourself and your own country, and not try to control what people in other countries do?
Reply:Simple. They are no more wise than anybody else.
Reply:Sorry, one has nothing to do with the other. Chinese medicine has been around for millenia and the use of animal products has always played a role. Considering Western medicine has only been around for a few centuries, I don't think we should be looking down our noses at the Chinese, just because we don't agree with their methods. They achieve a lot of success that we often still can't explain.

Just for the sake of discussion, if you "theoretically" had a cure for cancer, but it required the horn of a rhinoceros, would you use it?
Reply:They are no more wise than any other humans. They are very traditional in an unquestioning way.
Reply:Oh Oh... This kind of stereotyping is not a good attitude for you to have. It is a kind of racism, and I hope you do not consider yourself a racist.

The culture of China encourages development of the individual, both mentally and physically. It is an old culture with many traditions, some of which are strange to others, or even strange to Chinese in different parts of China.

I think it would be more interesting to notice that China has had a history of what Westerners call naturual and herbal medicine. They have had time during the pre-scientific era to try out the effects of thousands of natural concontions to learn what effects it had on the human body, both as a curative or as a poison.

Every society has a history. If you look at the superstitious aspects of every society you can find ideas just as strange as using a rhino's horn as a medicine.

Most Chinese do not ever use parts of endangered species as medicine. It is common to use herbs and minerals, and mixtures. They have a long history of this and they have kept what seems to work.

;-D Maybe it is just the placebo effect, but who knows? I know I don't. Oops! I spilled some salt! I better throw a pinch over my shoulder!
Reply:People in general are just big, stupid, upright monkeys with opposable thumbs. We AREN'T that smart.

The Chinese are no different and are just as superstitious...which is often why they grind up animals for medicines. Stupid, isn't it?

The only way humans ever really do anything is if they feel pain. Pain is what causes humans to change direction. Put the hurt on at the gas pumps and people will stop driving SUVs...put the hurt on people who hunt and kill endangered animals and it will stop. When I say, "put the hurt on", I mean, "Cut off someones right leg" or "brand their face in Chinese symbols that read, 'I poach animals and am very, very stupid. I can't follow directions. Please kick me.'".

Do it...
Reply:Because they are not near as wise as people claim!
Reply:i guess they think it's organic and natural and natural medicine is always better than man made ones.
Reply:The same reason we eat beef and wear alligator skin boots, and test on lab animals looking medical cures.

Each culture is different in their ways of survival ~ really, they are no different than we are...
Reply:Whatever makes you think that people who still believe that eating vague animal parts would make them virile are wise??? They are are dumber than the animals they use for their medicines.

Whom do u think will win the fight lion vs tiger?
TIGERS? hahahahaha sorry.
Reply:A full grown tiger can grow to be over 1200lbs. where as a full grown lion grows to be around 800lbs. I've never seen them fight but a weight advantage like that would probably be pretty hard to overcome.
Reply:I think there was a TV show that answers much the same question.

I can't remember the name but it puts two animal against each other in a animation at the end. I am sorry I wish I could remember the name of the show.
Reply:Lion has been shown to have better muscular endurance than the tiger.

If the tiger does not overcome the lion at first, it will tire out and the lion can then get to work.

This is assuming both are at maximum size.

Either way, an Alaskan bear or polar bear would easily **** these boys up anyday.
Reply:It was shown on Discovery channel that the lion would win. The show is called "battle of the beasts"
Reply:The tiger is the bigger cat, so it has a size advantage, it usually wins. If it's a male lion the the mane plays a part, as the tiger goes for the throat.

There are several videos on youtube showing this, i won't post them because i think it's cruel to pit these 2 beatiful animals to fight just for entertainment, it's sick.

What is the Biggest Lion and Biggest Tiger ever record??

What is the worlds biggest Lion and Tiger ever recorded????

How long is it? not including tail

How much does it weigh?

and do u have any pictures?

What is the Biggest Lion and Biggest Tiger ever record??
I thought the largest tiger ever was a Siberian tiger that weighed 845 pounds and was 13 feet long including the tail, about 9 feet without the tail. Lion I don't know for sure but about 650 pounds would have to be the heaviest on record and about 12 feet I'd say or around 8 feet long without the tail, roughly.

How many subspecies of lion and tiger are there?

I would like to know how many subspecies of lion there are and how many subspecies of tiger there are. I would also like to know about extinct subspecies.

How many subspecies of lion and tiger are there?
Lion---Panthera leo azandica - North East Congo lion.

Panthera leo bleyenberghi - Katanga lion.

Panthera leo europaea - European lion. Extinct around 100AD due to hunting and competition from feral dogs. From France to the Balkans.

Panthera leo hollisteri - Congo lion.

Panthera leo krugeri - South African lion.

Panthera leo leo - Barbary lion; extinct in the wild. This was the largest of the lion subspecies, which ranged from Morocco to Egypt. The last wild Barbary lion was killed in Morocco in 1922 due to excessive hunting. Barbary lions were kept by Roman emperors to take part in the gladiator arenas. Roman notables, including Sulla, Pompey, and Julius Caesar, often ordered the mass slaughter of Barbary lions - up to 400 at a time. [2]

Panthera leo massaicus - Massai lion.

Panthera leo melanochaita - Cape lion; extinct in 1860.

Panthera leo nubica - East African lion.

Panthera leo persica - Asiatic lion. 200 currently exist in the Gir Forest of India. Once widespread from Turkey, across the Middle East, to India and Bangladesh, but large prides and daylight activity made it easier to poach than tigers or leopards.

Panthera leo roosevelti - Abyssinian lion.

Panthera leo senegalensis - West African lion, or Senegal lion.

Panthera leo somaliensis - Somali lion.

Panthera leo verneyi - Kalahari lion. Distinct behaviour and anatomy has been observed in this subspecies.

Tiger---There are nine subspecies of tiger, three of which are extinct and one of which is almost certain to become so in the near future. Their historical range (severely diminished today) ran through Russia, Siberia, Iran, Afghanistan, India, China and South-east Asia, including the Indonesian islands. These are the surviving subspecies, in descending order of wild population: The royal bengal tiger was often recieved as a gift for young Indian Princes on their 15th birthday. The Killing of the tiger on their 18th birthday signaled that the boy had now become a man

I posted the pics to show the size variation..a liger is a cross between a male lion and a female tiger...the liger is a ton in weight!!! it praticall dwarfes it parents...What do u think of the liger?? do u think it looks better than the tiger and lion?? My personal view is its a nice looking animal, and i see somewhat flaws in it....there are health issues for it, lower life span... But it has social traits from the lion and the powerful hunting skills from the tiger...so its a more powerful animal!! but i think there only bred for commercial and money reasons...what do u think?

What do you think about the liger compared to the lion and tiger??{pic added}?
I personally like the look of the lion and tiger separately.

And if people purposely bred a lion with a tiger - why? Why must people interfere with everything?

If the two animals bred naturally - how strange.
Reply:Until just now I didnt even know there was such a thing as a liger!

Did that happen naturally between a lion and a tiger or did science do it?

Anyhow it is adorable like a baby hewey..lol

Which one would win a fight, a lion or a tiger? Why?

I know that tigers are bigger and stronger, but lions have manes to protect their neck.

Which one would win a fight, a lion or a tiger? Why?
I wondered this too. A few years back there was this show on the discovery channel (or maybe animal planet) called something like Animal Showdown or something. But this group of educated people made all these speculations, and hten built model of the animals, and ran a bunch of tests. They once pitted a lion and a tiger against eachother, and the lion won. They did mention that the mane protected his neck when the tiger went for a neck bite. (This was in the CGI simulation they did) But they also said that the lion was lucky, and could have been killed almost as easily.
Reply:Tigers.

They can also leap 20 - 30 ft from a stand still.
Reply:Lion is the king of the jungle....
Reply:Go to youtube and you will find what any marginally educated person knows. In every documented fight between a lion and a tiger, the tiger has won, usually in the sense of making the lion run. The mane of a lion has recently been shown to be a sexual selection trait and not having a thing to do with neck protection.
Reply:They would probably wind up copulating; the offspring would be called a "liger." Really.
Reply:well ... they might just both win and end up with a little one of these ^_^

Why do people's Live in the wild with Nature, Then when a bear lion tiger or ect attack them they won't to

Kill the animal. We invade their land. They have killed a bear that killed a child in the bear land. Don't get mr wrong I feel the pain that the parents feeling! I just was wondering why do we go and sleep in a place where we are endangering our kids. If we are going to do it why not leave the child at home where it is safe. It's not the bear fault that he came to his home, and you all was there. But we built house home in their land we go camping on their land when they attack we kill them.

Well I entirely agree.We had a situation here,where a shark attacked a surfer.I know it's terrible,but what did the shark do wrong

What is a a Lion/Tiger show? A fight? A sexual encounter? A cartoon movie? An exhibition of pictures of both animals? It would depend on what you're talking about, but, at any rate, a 1.5 year-old would need to be a prodigy or something if whatever he/she saw at such an early age could influence them later in their life, so I wouldn't worry about it.
