Which is your favorite big cat, and why?

Whenever we went to the Bronx Zoo as kids, I knew where I wanted to go first--to see the big cats! I liked other animals, like bears and giraffes, but I really wanted to see the tigers, lions and leopards. I think those visits instilled me with a kind of awe and respect for big cats, nature's most beautiful and graceful predators. I have a special spot for snow leopards (pun intended). They're breath-taking. I love that huge tail. What's your favorite big cat, and why?

Which is your favorite big cat, and why?
I LOVE all cats, but my favorite is the mountain lion (aka cougar aka puma). They are amazingly beautiful animals and their meow/roar/scream is unlike any other big cat's! Their cubs are incredibly cute too: http://www.sophoto.cn/photopost/data/525...





(It's such an outrage that most of the big cats are endangered. Wish humans would get their acts together and start preserving %26amp; cherishing these magnificent animals--all big cats--instead of destroying them.)
Reply:I love the Siberian tiger. Their strength and beauty is unmatched. That long fur in the winter is spectacular.

Reply:My name says it all.. Tigaluva! I love tigers!! I was born in the year of the tiger, so was my son. My mum said while I was growing up I would prowl around the house like a caged wild animal. My bedroom is adorned with pictures, curtains, doona cover, sheets %26amp; blankets all showing tigers on them, as well as various stuffed ones, a few ornaments, a plate, %26amp; even some tiger print slippers that I hang on the wall. I do not know why I am drawn to the tiger, but they are wild, strong %26amp; graceful, qualities I myself admire.
Reply:Well, maybe leopards or lions. Not cheetah because they live their lives with fear from other big cats and hyenas. Tigers r brought to extinction, and so r many other. But lions live in families, so they have better lives. By beauty, tigers won th 1st place for me, but for the mind of survival, lions rule...
Reply:I love all big cats, my astrological sign is a Lion, however if I do have to choose, it would be a jaguar. Spotted, or black, they are magnificent.
