Why is it that the race of humans kill eachother but the same type of animals/creatures dont kill eachother?

like, as we all know humans kill eachother in wars and stuff but the same kind of animals dont attack/kill eather. like...bears dont kill other bears, they kill fish. sharks dont kill eachother, they eat dolphins(i think) and fish. Lions/Tigers dont kill eachother, they kill animals like deer, buffalo, gazelle. it doesnt make sense that humans kill eachother but the same type of animal kills itself. cuz humans are the same type of human. just like animals.

lol if u dont understand this...then just come up wit the best answer from what u can understand.

Why is it that the race of humans kill eachother but the same type of animals/creatures dont kill eachother?
Because we have the added ability to have advanced verbal communications, so we have more things to fight about. Animals will kill each other often for survival. We are just fortunate to enjoy a life of more than simply survival, so it comes with a price.
Reply:well for 1, animals don't have the problems that we face in our world. For example.....animals dont have different religions, so they aren't trying to get each other to be cristian or jewish or catholic. 2, they don't work for pompous jerk bosses so they dont get mad in that way. 3, they stick out for each other because they are all one family. since they can't talk, they ont have all these problems. i believe if we couldnt talk we might be more peaceful because our mouths wouldnt get us in so much trouble!
Reply:Humans kills each other bcoze they have the factor of suprimessy and for superemessy animals also fight with there race and this means every creature on this want to be most supreme from others in there same race
Reply:Because we are not living the way nature intended. We are so caught up in all the bs that it's making/made us a little off.
Reply:I think humans just want to be dominant over one another and if we don't prove it we become angry and start wars. I hope one day we can get along and not argue just live as a great single country, But my grandfather always told me only a fool wishes for peace...
Reply:Says who?
Reply:The type of killing you referred to, is killing to obtain food. the animals you listed were predators and are not usually cannibalistic, so they would not kill their own kind for food. But you seem to b referring to a territorial/superiority type of killing in which human beings participate. You cannot compare it to the examples of animal behavior you listed.

The late John B. Calhoun conducted a study in the early 1960's using domestic rats in crowded populations. The results showed increased violence and killing, formation of "gangs", and homosexual acts.

These rats killed each other in similar situations that exist for humans.
Reply:Lots of animals kill each other. Male lions will kill all the other males in it's pride so that he is the only male. Other big cats will kill and eat each others young. Jane Goodall discovered that chimps have "wars" between competing troops. They were found to violently attack and kill each other for no apparent reason. Many animals will fight to the death..this is commonly seen in male Elephant seals, Elk, Bighorn sheep, etc.
Reply:Lions will kill other male lions to take over there territory...Lions and Tigers will kill there own young to bring the female into heat again..
Reply:Some animals actually do kill others of the same species; mainly young ones, to eliminate competition for their own offspring. Some examples are lions (when they take over a pride the males will kill the cubs), tigers (when they take over another male's territory they will do the same), crocodiles, gulls (they actually eat the eggs and chicks they kill).

Adults killing adults is far rarer. One example is the Siamese fighting fish. The males of this species will often fight to the death by ramming themselves against their opponent's body, mouth first. Male hippos, too, will fight to the death.

There is a difference. Animals may kill each other, but they don't wipe each other out en masse. We do. Animals kill each other for a reason; to pass on their own genes, help their offspring survive. We kill for no such reason; riches, power, land. Or fun. Humans have mastered the art of cruelty, a concept that only makes sense when we refer to ourselves.

Answer to your question: we're stupid. We're wiping ourself out with incredible efficiency. What other explanation is there?
Reply:What???

where did you come up with that bit of incorrect information..

There aree many isntances where aligator kills and eats alighatos.. etc..

Sheesh..
Reply:girlfriend needs to check herself.
Reply:Well, it depends really. it is true that animals kill their own species. however we cant compare us humans with that of animals. we come from different kingdoms. its true that we have the ability to talk, but this does not mean that animals cannot talk. they have a way of commnicating with each other. anyway, back to the question. we humans are almost similar to animals. as an example, we fight for food when supply os scarce, we tend to eliminate competition when we are in a company or work to get promoted, we even kill just to satisfy our own lust. to sum up, humans have the basic instinct similar to that of an animal in order to survive. however, we misuse this trait for satisying our lust.
Reply:Animals will kill their own kind in self-defense and male lions will kill cubs to mate again.

But I totally see what you mean. Humans suck.
Reply:i don't know where you got your information, but animals actually DO kill each other quite often. it's called mating rituals. some mammals off the top of my head that partake in this are giraffes, hippos, certain specie of goat, and many more. killer whales will actually kill a baby blue whale in the midst of migrating for one thing....it's tongue. bears will fight each other for the right not to mate, but to obtain the best fishing spot. males lions actually kill the baby cubs of the female he is trying to mate with. this way, he gets all of his genes in the pride and none of the predecessors.

ok, enough examples. you see, animals DO actually kill each other for mating rights, territory and sometimes simply food.

i know what you're saying though...if we're the "most advanced specie on the face of the earth", why do we act so stupid? my idea- as long as there are men, there will be war.
Reply:Wrong above. Dogs kill for fun. Dogs in a pack will anything they can including other dogs all for the excitement of the kill. Some individual dogs kill for fun. They will kill anyhting, including humans, weak enough to succomb to their attacks. They have been breed for these traits by humans.
Reply:Animals do kill each other just like humans do. They have established territories or domains that when another animal of their kind would try to intrude, there would be a fight for dominance. So your statement is false. The animals kill their own kind for the same reasons that humans do.
Reply:animals are not always in compitition with each other, they do not have the greed as we do. Most animals will work for their food, some go out and steal it from others, but not as much as the human race does. Jealousy and greed can destroy nations. Next comes the racist. Your ot the same color I hate you. People should have been born color blind. then it wouldn't matter.
Reply:actually lions will kill other lions and bears will kill other bears. etc. most animals will fight for territory food and mating. Most of the time one will yield but sometimes its fatal. also in severe drought or stress cannibalism is common. but killing for pleasure is only done by humans and our closest relative the chimpanzee.
Reply:As human beings, different from any creature in the animal kingdom, we have an ability to reason, which sets us apart. And it could get us killed by one another. How tragic.
Reply:Well animals r different than us so basically animals fight for wat they need and we do the same but like stealing and fighting for things. And animals just need to hunt or fight for territory.
Reply:Yes, they do. Chimps have killed other chimps. Some animals eat their young. Some animals kill and eat other members of their species, lions included. You're wrong.
Reply:actually lots of animals kill eachother over territorial disputes and hunger....grizzly bears will cannibalize young cubs if there is not enough food...meerkats will kill rival groups to gain new territory...lions kill baby lion cubs to force females to go into heat again...chimpanzees go on hunts for rival groups and catch, kill and eat other chimps...humans are the only animals that kill for fun though
Reply:That is not true. Animals do kill their own kind, in violence.

Watch the nature shows on TV.

Example: male lions take over a pride and kill all the young, so there is room for their own young.
