Why don't we eat other meat-eaters?

They say that eating meat is good for you.

IF this is true than does'nt logic dictate that the flesh of lions, tigers, vultures, wolves, hyena's etc... should be the

"creme' de le creme" of all meat dishes?

Why has'nt someone cornered the market on carnivore meat then

and why are all those herbivores so damn peacefull?

Serious answers only please...

Why don't we eat other meat-eaters?
I had to read your question 4 times to get the idea. Great question. My answer would be that carnivores could not be domesticated to control. Could you imagine being a rancher of lions, tigers and bears. Oh My!
Reply:Ever tried gator tail?
Reply:Thats because people are reluctant to change......

We find it hard to accept new things but may be twenty years later we might start eating lion meat too;)...its only a matter of time
Reply:i do i will eat anything that don't eat me first

a lot of the animals we eat will eat meat if it is given to them chickens %26amp; other birds/pigs/fish %26amp; shark and many more
Reply:We do! As a species there are still sectors of society that relish carnivor meat (the africans call it bush meat). We in the uk eat herbivors because we hav selectivly bred them to be peaceful and supply us with a large volume of meat per animal. Over the generations of us eating herd animals (that were/are easier to catch and typicaly were unable to fight back as effectivly as say a lion) the thought of eating a none herbivor became almost a taboo. Also because herbivors tend to be more numerous too.
Reply:I've looked at your question for a while and you had me stumped ...

... and then I remembered I've eaten alligator, crocodile, and shark.

I've also eaten pork..and let's face it, pigs aren't too fussy about what they're fed!

I've also eaten the odd ant..albeit unwittingly and none too thrilled when I realised what I was chewing on!

Are herbivores really so peaceful? There are some very angry birds out there..the New Zealand magpie springs to mind!

Horses: have you ever come across a stroppy horse? WAY too many oats!

What about bulls? Do you fancy climbing into a ring with an aggressive bull? I can assure you, they're furious before anyone shoves a spear into their shoulder and waves a colourful cape at them!

To answer your questions: yes, the market for carnivore meat has been cornered for years. No, herbivores are not as peaceful as you wish to believe!

Great question though!
Reply:we do!
