Lion vs Tiger, Who would be the winner?

I think that the tiger, In animal planet was the lion the virtual winner , but I saw some videos on internet , and the tiger was the winner,


the siberian tiger is much bigger and over 100 kilograms more that a Lion.


The lion have the mail, but the tiger more strengh and more body mass.


I bet for the tiger.

lions live in prides with females since the tiger is the mother it is built for more armour and strength its claws should be more wider then the lion it is built to protect its cubs. and mostly do the hunting so it should have more advantages. Report It

Of course you can put a very old female tiger to a strong big male lion, but if you make a fair comparison I have no doubt that the tiger will be the winner.
Reply:Yeh I know about those Siberian Tigers and in my opinion they can beat a Lion but it will be a tough fight. The jaw of Lion is more powerfull than that of a tiger but tiger has agility which gives it an edge.

Reply:They kill in differnet ways. The Lion bites the throat. While the tiger also does this, it also uses it's back claws to effectivly "gut" it's prey. My vote is for the tiger.
Reply:I'm a Zoologist, Your absolutely right about the tiger. Althou, sadly the tiger is in danger of extinction, it has more mobilbly and swiftness. The tiger would come out on top.

Reply:that depends how realistic the fight sitation would be. Remember that lions are pride animals and tigers are loners. 1 tiger vs. 1 lion - the tiger would win due to sheer strength and size.





1 tiger vs. lion pride - it would be an ugly battle but the tiger would be taken down. Remember that lion prides bring down buffalo bulls - which weight over a ton!
